Design Notes
For hsa-miR-30e-5p, we designed multiple synthetic sequences called Toehold Switches, which have the ability to bind with a part of the miRNA molecule. Furthermore, in order for the required thermodynamic conditions to be met, the hairpin-like structure of the toeholds was designed to lack the pre-RBS area in the loop and to maintain strong bonds between the paired bases of the body of the hairpin.
